The following are upcoming events that we think you will enjoy:
*We will have a service at 8:15 am and 10:30 am. Sunday school will be from 9:30 – 10:15.
*Young at Heart – the Young at Heart (60+) will meet each Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the church gym for games and socializing. Please join the group for a great time of fellowship!
*Prayer Meetings – Each Wednesday evening, a small group meets in the Sanctuary to pray for revival at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to join!
*Help Needed…We are in need of scripture readers and greeters for the 2nd services. Sign-up sheets are on the table in the foyer. Thank you for your willingness to serve.
*The first Sunday of each month we will be collecting specific item for the Food Pantry. This is a great way to help others in our community. The month of September will be toiletry items, especially soap and shampoo, along with coffee.
*Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm.
*The church board will meet on Wednesday, September 9th. Elders will meet at 6:30 and full board will meet at 7:00 pm.
*Crossroads Youth Center needs 2 volunteers from MCC for Monday and Thursday of the third week of each month from 3:15-5:30 pm. If you have any questions or can help, please see Haran Ziebart or Tricia Huff.
*Milford Christian Church will host a 25th Remembrance of 9-11 on September 11th at 10:00 am in the sanctuary.
*Brent has been invited to teach a Pastors’ Class in Mexico where Antonio Gomez is the missionary. If you would like to share in support of this effort, you can see Brent after service or make a check out to the Church with “Mexico Mission Trip” on the memo.
*The Milford Christian church will be hosting the 35th annual Harvest of Talents on Saturday, September 26. Lots of handmade & homemade crafts along with yummy goodies & baked goods will be available beginning at 8 am. All the baked and homemade goodies will be in “grannies kitchen” so be sure to get there early for your favorites! Breakfast will be served from 8-10 with biscuits & sausage gravy, eggs, breakfast rolls, juice, milk and coffee available. Lunch will also be served from 10:30 – 12:30. Vegetable soup, chili, pulled port, pie, pop, water & walking tacos & walking desserts will be available. Kids games will be open from 9-11 so you can shop while the kids play. Lots of carnival style games for kids with a bounce house. Prizes and a lot of fun for kids of auction! All proceeds go to feed the hungry through IDES (International Disaster Emergency Services).
*Needed for HOT breakfast: monetary donations for Cathy to make biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, 2 gallons of milk, 2 containers of orange juice, 1 person to help. If you are able to help, leave a note on your connection card or see Linda Jorgenson.
*Vacation Bible School “Emerald Crossing” will be held August 3-7. We are seeking helpers to lead small groups of children from station to station. Even if you are only available for a day or two, we will find a place for you to be a part of building the kingdom. Contact Kristel Sattler (815-471-4969) to volunteer or if you have any questions. Also, there are food items available to be donated or snacks and/or lunch. You can find slips of paper on the VBS information table in the foyer.
*The Watseka Food Pantry appreciates donations of fresh, homegrown produce to share with our neighbors. If your garden is producing more than you need, please share with the food pantry. Hours of the food pantry are Monday – Friday 9:00 – 11:00 am at the Watseka Methodist Church on South 4th Street.

*The CrossRoads Youth Center can use donations of snacks and drinks. To donate items or financial contributions, please contact Carol Highfill or leave at MCC marked “Youth Center”.
*Looking for ways to help serve?? The Church is in need of help with operating a camera and computer for the streaming of services on Sunday mornings. If you are interested, contact Brent.

King’s Club
King’s Club is an after-school program for preschool to 5th grade on Wednesday afternoons following school dismissal at 3:30 pm.
We offer 8 classes on Sundays:
-Young Adults is for those under 50
-Ladies is for ladies only
-Mens is for men only
-U&I is for couples
-High school is for grades 9-12
-Youth Classes: 2yrs old-K, 1st-5th, 6th-8th, 9th-12th
