Upcoming Events for You!

The following are upcoming events that we think you will enjoy:

*We will have a service at 8:15 am and 10:30 am. Sunday school will be from 9:30 – 10:15.

*Young at Heart – the Young at Heart (60+) will meet each Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the church gym for games and socializing. Please join the group for a great time of fellowship!

*Prayer Meetings – Each Wednesday evening, a small group meets in the Sanctuary to pray for revival at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to join!

*Help Needed…We are in need of scripture readers and greeters for the 2nd services. Sign-up sheets are on the table in the foyer. Thank you for your willingness to serve.

*The first Sunday of each month we will be collecting specific item for the Food Pantry. This is a great way to help others in our community.  The month of October will be toiletry items, especially soap and shampoo, along with coffee.

*Children’s Christmas Program. Children in 1st – 8th grade are welcome to join. Rehearsals start Sunday, October 11th at 2:45-3:30 pm at the church, and every Sunday after that until our program night. **Pre-K & Kindergarten kids will also have a program on the same night, but do not need to attend practices. Concert Night will be Sunday, December 13th at 6:00 pm.

*Adult Choir. Choir practice for our Christmas Cantata will be held on Sunday, October 11th at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary.

*Youth Group will not meet on Sunday, October 11th.

*Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark meets Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 pm.

*Kings Club will meet on Wednesday, October 14th from 3:25 – 5:00 pm.

*Prairie States Men’s Meeting will be held at the Paxton Church of Christ on Monday, October 26th at 7:00 pm. All men are encouraged to join in a great evening of fellowship and worship.

*Trunk or Treat will be held on October 31st from 5:00-7:00 pm. We will need decorated trunks, cookies and 250 hotdog buns (please bring on the 30th or 31st). There is a signup sheet on the table in the foyer. If you need more information, please see Carol Highfill.

*Operation Christmas Child. you are invited to help fill shoeboxes for Operations Christmas Child. Age groups for boys and girls are as follows: 2-4 years, 5-9 years and 10-14 year olds. The following items are needed to place in the boxes: small toys, school supplies, dolls, hats, gloves, hair ties, stuffed animals, etc. No liquids, toothpaste, candy or war related toys are allowed. Also, monetary donations to help ship the boxes would be greatly appreciated Shipping costs are $10.00 per box. Please return all filled boxes to the church office by November 1st. If you have any questions, or would like to donate money for shipping costs, please see Kay Carlson.

*The church board will meet on Wednesday, October 14th. Elders will meet at 6:30 and full board will meet at 7:00 pm.

*Crossroads Youth Center needs 2 volunteers from MCC for Monday and Thursday of the third week of each month from 3:15-5:30 pm. If you have any questions or can help, please see Haran Ziebart or Tricia Huff.

*If you want to use the wifi, please connect to eero guest and password mccfamily.

*The CrossRoads Youth Center can use donations of snacks and drinks.  To donate items or financial contributions, please contact Carol Highfill or leave at MCC marked “Youth Center”.

*Looking for ways to help serve?? The Church is in need of help with operating a camera and computer for the streaming of services on Sunday mornings. If you are interested, contact Brent.

King’s Club

King’s Club is an after-school program for preschool to 5th grade on Wednesday afternoons following school dismissal at 3:30 pm.
